my new friend...

i'm not really big on make up... but i have extremely dark under eyes, so i look tired without concealer. while i was shopping a few weeks ago... i picked up the maybeline dream lumitouch (highlighting concealer)... i didn't expect much... but it works great for me... i love it and it has became my fave under eye concealer in just a week!

i used to use nyx, the concealer in a jar, but i wasn't really satisfied with it. it's a pretty well known cream concealer. but the thing is... it gets into my fine lines, which makes them really visible, even when i finish it off with powder.

the lumitouch goes into my fine lines too, but not as extreme as the nyx concealer... it's barely noticeable ^^ the consistency is light, and you just need less for the same coverage. i would say it has a medium coverage, it doesn't completely cover my darkness, but it fulfills my needs ^^



12 hours after... (pretty good, if you would have known how i would look without XD)

compared to the nyx concealer (€ 5 something), the lumitouch (€ 10) might be a bit more expensive, but i still find it reasonable priced, for what it's worth.

broken item!!!

so i ordered an adjustable double finger ring from ebay, it came in broken due to the lack of care for packaging.




i mailed about the problem and asked for refund. i got an reply from their customer service representative... asking me to send pictures of the broken item. so i did. she replied, and said that according to their returns policy, i have to send back the item for exchange or full refund. so they want to give me an 6usd discount coupon, which only applies on orders above 17usd.

so because of their fault, i have to 1. or use money to send it back to get a refund... or 2. i have to spend more money, to get my value back. to me it's unreasonable... though the ring didn't cost much, it's all about the principles!

it's not the first time, i've received a broken item from ebay sellers, but they were always kind enough to send me back my money, without me sending back the broken item, even without me sending a picture.

so as a warning: please, save some time and don't buy from them (jsbay88), there are many other sellers that sell the same items :)

garter vs suspender tights

why wear suspender tights when you can wear the real thing?



i love wearing garters, especially during the colder seasons... i like to layer thigh high socks over my tights, and my garters help me keeping everything in place...

i have suspender tights too, but i prefer my garters more, just because i can mix and match my tights and socks. i got more of those, as i only have 2 different suspender tights...

what are your opinions of the garter look? and if you like to wear em too, which do you prefer?

cleaning out my (shoe) closet...

i am keeping it...

i received my leather jacket this morning :o so fast... i've expected it after christmas... lucky~



the jacket is slightly loose on me... but i decided to keep it. cause with it being a bit loose, i can wear a chunky knit under it, to keep me warm during this winter. And also, during the less colder seasons, i can just wear it open...



other than how it fits, this jacket is just like i've expected it too be... :) and i am also happy with it's weight, it's not too heavy ^^

wow, ron blaauw! ★★

to be honest, i haven't heard of ron blaauw before... but wow... his food is amazing. he filled my tummy with heavenly food. let the pictures help me tell my food story.


this was the appetizer, made of cucumber and lemon grass... very thai-ish... and a perfect fresh start.


first dish, is this perfectly smoked salmon with a poached egg... it was presented with a glass cover filled with smoke... it smelled really nice and the presentation was... just... wow...


second dish, was a plate filled with seafood... really liked the shrimps... they tasted semi raw... loved it... everything was editable... even the scary looking black cocoon looking thing... the shrimps heads and the beautiful pearly looking shell.


third dish... at the left, the back looking block is beef (if i'm not mistaken)... can't recall what everything else is... but it tasted so well all together.


fourth dish... at the left, is beef with sauce made of liver. At the top is a pastry filled with soft meat. the white rounds are kohlrabi and pear (if i'm not mistaken). and at the right side... there is foam made out of horseradish and a caramelized hazelnut...

i forgot to take a picture of my first desert... it was a very thin cookie cone, filled with hazelnut cream. On top there was a scoop of orange sorbet coated with white chocolate and sprinkled with scrunched hazelnut on top... this desert has a little surprise at the end of the cone... it has small chocolate sprinkles, the sprinkles gave a sparkling (maybe not the right word, but i can't think of another word for it now) sensation. the sensation really brought me back to the time, when i was little... the sparkly/cracking chewing gum that i loved, when i was a kid...


second dessert... a carrot dessert... carrot icecream, foam made out of ginger sorbet and chocolate sauce. the carrot is actually made out of chocolate... i'm not sure what's inside the carrot though... (the little brown drops reminded me of hamster yogurt drops/candy... if you have owned hamsters, you'll probably know what i am talking about XD).


third dessert, is a coffee dessert, with baileys ^^ i'm not really a alcohol lover, but this was heavenly great...


after the desserts, we had some after snacks... the tea tasted a bit floraly... it was so nice... and the snacks in the box... the piece of sausage, was actually dried fruit (tasted like dried cranberries and dried raisins... or something alike)... the cheese, which i expected to be a piece of salty cheese, was actually a piece of cheesecake filling... and lastly the croquette ball (which we call bitterbal)... was caramel with nuts coating...


and after all the eating, we received ron blaauw's cooking books as a christmas present from our bosses... ^^ how nice...

i've been looking for a leather jacket for over a year now... but i've seen so many and tried so many, none i really liked or fit me well...

so as my search continued, i stumbled upon this leather jacket by replay... (it looks better in real life,) and i really like how feminine but though at the same time it looks... but before i knew the jacket went on sale... and when i finally have found it in the stores, my size was sold out :(

i didn't gave up... and continued my search... and i found another one, that (i think) i really like... i found it online at zalando.nl, this store is like heaven...

but... this is it... it's half off... and it's in "my size"... but i'm not sure how it will fit, so let's hope it just does.

i really like the side zipper... the starry cutout details on the collar... and the tight looking fit...  i'm just not so sure about the length of the jacket... hope it isn't bellybutton short... XD

my new love...

i have a new tool to create a slight volume, which is pretty long lasting... ^^ it's my new mini crimper. i use it to crimp the part of my hair near my scalp... and have the upper layers covering the crimped hair. the structure that the crimper creates, also makes it possible for me to tease my hair, if needed... i just simply love it.

• the crimper has ceramic plates for even heat distribution. 
• it heats up to 200 celcius.
• it needs around 1 min to heat up.
• it's small, 15cm only.
• it has a on/off switch with a light indicator.

other than the fact, that it works on my stubborn thick and heavy hair, i like the crimper because it's small and light weight... and the green tiger print is pretty cute as well.

of course nothing is totally perfect. the cord doesn't have a swivel cord... and there is nothing to keep the crimper closed.

other than that i got nothing to complain, it's cheap and it works ^^

my hk trip was all about shopping and eating... and i also went to the hq of yesstyle like i mentioned in one of my previous post ^^ there was a little interview and a short photoshoot... and it was great to meet everyone... now i have faces that go with the names ^^ not sure when or if the pictures will be up somewhere...

i wanted to make a video of my trip, like i did with my paris weekend... but i was too busy trying to blend in with the people there, that i didn't end up with enough footage... so this time i will show some peaks of my trip...

our dinner at the airport (schiphol)... the lady gave us a bigger portion, because i was sharing this dinner with my brother's gf...

we had a bbq at my aunts house... and my cousin's husband was telling us ghost stories after... i was so scared, that i was afraid after, that i didn't dare to shower alone -_-

amazing drinks, my brother ordered the apple/grape juice... and i ordered the pineapple/grapefruit soda... delicious... love grapefruit <3

one day the water turned purple... i walked by everyday... at this street you can find "bb leung fan" they have delicious chinese snacks and sweet deserts...

and then... it was the end of my holiday... waiting for the bus to the airport...

i tried to sleep as less as i could, so it would be easier to sleep in the plane... but i fell in sleep in the bus... it was quite a long bus trip...

the airport... (i dislike my cam for taking blurry pictures -_-)

arrived at the (amsterdam) airport at 5 in the morning, on my birthday XD just a nice train ticket to keep ^^

sooo... that's it...

btw. i tried to collect a goodiebag in hong kong... but i couldn't find enough good stuff... but i will continue here... and when i think i have enough, i will announce the giveaway... i will also give away the extra set of the tinkerbel pj's... more info will be found here, on my blog... when the time is ripe ^^
